This week, I learned something VERY important from Vehicle Registration, and I feel it's important to share with others! For a few years now, VR has allowed up to 2 years registration for older model vehicles, and at least 3 for new vehicles. Because of this, sellers are able to sell their vehicles up to at least 6 months left on that registration. However, the officers at vehicle registration, Military, and German; strongly suggest anyone purchasing a vehicle, insist on a fresh/new registration from the seller. Anything could have gone wrong with the vehicle since their last registration, and if you think about it, if they refuse, that could be a red flag! Getting a fresh/new registration can give the buyer peace of mind, and equip you with a full 24 months registration, vs. what's left on the registration. So don't be enticed by the seller saying the registration is good for a year or more out. According to vehicle Registration. If the buyer has nothing to hide, getting a fresh registration, should not be a problem. They lose nothing, because a fresh/new registration will not cost them anything. As a buyer, only you could have something to lose. They will have your money, and you could be paying for repairs to something that could have been detected in a fresh/new registration. However, in the end, it is the buyers decision. If you want to know more details, you can message me. Happy Buying, but be sensible. Please spread the word. God Bless!
