The 1000 Mark certificate for the company called Filmfabrikation was issued in Berlin on 20 April 1921.
The company was founded on the date in which the certificate was issued. The company built technical facilities for film processing with development, editing, copying and showing in the Viktoriastraße in Berlin's Tempelhof district. In the 1930s it progressed into the technical aspects of sound films. The company was listed on the stock exchange.
In 1949 the company moved to Wiesbaden. There, on a former riding arena, a riding hall was converted into a film studio (Studio 1), a new hall was built (Studio 2) and a small studio (Studio 3) was built in an intermediate building. In addition, there was a copy facility.
Many German feature films were produced in these studios, and the company also produced films for companies.
After the film company was liquidated in 1956, the film pioneer Karl Schulz, together with the Hessischer Rundfunk, acquired the extensive studio area and founded the Taunus-Film GmbH.
This certificate is authentic, historic, and in excellent condition. It measures 14.5 X 10.5 inches.
