1923 German Stock Certificate: E.A. Schwerdtfeger & Co.
The certificate, issued in Berlin in February 1923, is for the E. A. Schwerdtfeger & Co. The denomination is 5,000 Marks. It is 14 X 10.5 inches and in excellent condition. .
In 1903 Friedrich Schwertfeger founded the company which provided industrial supplies in Bielefeld, East Westphalia, Germany. Business activities initially centered on the sale of products for foundries. Soon, abrasives are added to the product range. In 1977 the company specialized in self-adhesive tapes and moved to its current location in Sennestadt, (by Bielefeld). In 1989 it opened a sales branch in Langenhagen, Hanover, while consolidating its reputation as a specialist in high-quality adhesive tapes in the Lower Saxony region. In 2004 the sister company "PRODUKTA Tape Converting" is founded in order to meet the rising demand for custom-made die-cut parts and self-adhesive specialty products. The company celebrated its 111th anniversary in 2014.
